How to download TikTok videos on phone or computer
SaveDownloader provides a browser-based workflow for supported public TikTok posts. The same copy, paste, resolve, and download process works on iPhone, Android, Windows, macOS, and other modern devices.
Quick method: copy, paste, download
Downloading a TikTok video on iPhone or iPad
Copy the public TikTok post link and open SaveDownloader in Safari or another modern browser. Paste the URL, select Get video, then select Download video. iOS controls where the completed file appears, usually through the browser's downloads interface or the Files app depending on your settings.
Downloading a TikTok video on Android
Open the public TikTok post, copy its link, then paste it into SaveDownloader in Chrome or another modern browser. After the post resolves, select Download video. Android normally saves the file to the browser's configured Downloads location.
Downloading a TikTok video on Windows or Mac
On desktop, copy the canonical TikTok post URL from the address bar or share interface. Paste it into SaveDownloader and select Get video. When the result is ready, select Download video. Your browser may save automatically or ask where to store the file.
Which TikTok links work?
SaveDownloader is intended for supported public TikTok post URLs. Common inputs include canonical www.tiktok.com/@user/video/POST_ID links, compatible public photo-post links, and TikTok-owned short links such as vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com when they redirect to a public post.
Copied share text can also work when it includes a valid TikTok URL. SaveDownloader extracts the first supported public URL and validates the hostname before resolving it.
Why can a TikTok download fail?
A public post can stop resolving if it is deleted, made private, restricted by region, requires authentication, or if TikTok changes its public page or media delivery behavior. Temporary media links can also expire. When that happens, return to the original public TikTok post and resolve it again.
Why keep the original TikTok link?
The final video may be delivered from a temporary media host rather than the original TikTok page URL. Keeping the original post link makes it possible to request fresh public media information later if an older media URL expires.
Common problems and fixes
The public post cannot be resolved
Confirm that the original post still opens publicly without signing in. If the post has been removed, made private, or restricted, SaveDownloader cannot resolve it.
The download button returns an error
Resolve the original TikTok post again to obtain fresh media information. Platform media delivery can vary by region and can change without notice.
The file does not appear where expected
The browser and operating system choose the final download location. Check the browser's download history or your device's Downloads folder.
The post is private or login-only
SaveDownloader does not support private, login-only, paywalled, DRM-protected, or otherwise access-controlled content.
Responsible use
Use SaveDownloader only for public media you own, created, have permission to save, or otherwise have a lawful basis to download. A technically available file does not automatically grant permission to republish, redistribute, or monetize someone else's work.
